Overview

2010  is a critical year for China’s poverty alleviation and development. In this year, we not only needed to complete the tasks put forward by the "Outline for Poverty Alleviation and Development of China's Rural Areas (2001-2010)", but also had to develop the outline for the poverty alleviation and development in the next decade and the poverty reduction plan for the "12th Five-Year Plan" period. Under the correct leadership of the Central Government and the State Council, supported by the departments concerned and all circles of society, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, China Glory Society and other social organizations at all levels worked very hard and gave full play to their own advantages and their positive roles in helping the poor, and gratifying results were achieved in social poverty alleviation.
