Overview

　　The State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development (LGOP) attaches great importance to the international exchanges and cooperation in the field of poverty reduction and has actively broadened the channels for foreign exchange and strengthened the cooperation and exchanges with foreign governments, international agencies and non-governmental organizations. Through personnel exchanges, trainings, seminars and project cooperation, LGOP strives to publicize China’s achievements and experience in poverty reduction and learn from the effective practices of the international community, especially some international organizations and developing countries in reducing poverty and eliminating the gap between rich and poor to further improve the level of our poverty alleviation and development work.  International cooperation in the field of poverty alleviation is an important part of South-South cooperation, aiming to promote the knowledge and experience sharing among developing countries in the field of social development and poverty reduction and jointly promote the balanced and harmonious economic and social development in developing countries.
