    1. When inspecting China Railway Corporation, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang stressed that railways should play a vital lole in modernization construction. The construction of railways should be strengthened so as to create conditions for building new urbanization and regional balanced development.     2. The Opinions on Promoting the Reform and Development of the Tourism Industry issued by the State Council pointed out that rural tourism should be fully developed. The government should take targeted measures to reduce poverty and

To promote work on rural health and family planning for poverty reduction, National Health and Family Planning Commission released the Implementation Plan on Promoting Work of Rural Health and Family Planning for Poverty Reduction.     4. Since this year, the central budgetary appropriation for social undertaking in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has reached 3.016 billion yuan, up by 6.5% over the same period of last year. The fund is used for promoting basic education and building health care system of poverty-stricken areas in Xinjiang. Among the total central budgetary inveatments, 1.687 billion yuan will be granted in nine special educational projects, and 853 million yuan in the field of health care and public health services.

    5. China Merchants Group assisted Weining County to shake off poverty and achieve prosperity in a “blood-generation” style. With a transition of poverty alleviation mode, China Merchants Group advanced efforts to poverty reduction, transferring from a “blood transfusion” to “blood generation” style, which means from focusing on relief to industrial development. It explores a development path for the “four virtues in rural households (prosperity, learning, happiness and beauty) and beautiful countryside” building of Weining County, which features diverse functions, convenients transportation and industry clusters to boost integrated urban and rural development.

    8. Guangxi Branch of China Development Bank vigorously promoted student-origin-based loans project to benefit the people. Recently, many areas of Guangxi have witnessed a peak of arranging student-origin-based loans. In 2014, Guangxi Branch will be expected to grant student-origin-based loans worth 1.7 billion yuan, which will help 270,000 students in impoverished families enter the university.

    9. Spring Blossom “Love and Talent” Project of Anhui Province has granted a student subsidy fund of over 100 million RMB. With the support of government and involvement of enterprises, over 20,000 female university, high and elementary school students across the province who are living in poverty have finished their study in schools. The fund has resolved the difficulties faced with students from impoverished households and promoted the education undertaking of poverty-stricken areas.

    10. Hohhot of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region launched the 2014 talent support plan for “three areas”. From this year to 2020, Hohhot will send qualified teachers of several kindergartens, elementary and high schools (including regular high
    schools and secondary vocational schools) to “three areas” every year, namely counties covered by national designated contiguous areas in extreme poverty, national and provincial key counties for poverty reduction and development. The selected teachers will be expected to teach one year or at least be reappointed for one semester in the areas mentioned above.
